I sell somewhat frequently on eBay, and I recently had a buyer file an “Item Not Received” dispute against me. The item in question was dropped off at the post office within 24 hours of their payment and the delivery confirmation number backs this up. For some reason, it took 14 days to arrive, but it DID arrive. The buyer is completely uncooperative; they sent me one email on May 17th asking (very rudely) where their item was, and then another on the 18th telling me “u r big joke 2 eBay.” I was online early on the 17th, before they sent their first message, and I didn’t get online on the 18th because it was my birthday and I went out with my family. I replied to them on the 19th with no reply, and found that they had already filed the dispute. (And left negative feedback.) I provided tracking (which showed then that the item was still in transit) and gave a brief summary of events. The buyer then decided to escalate it and contacted customer support.

That’s where I need some advice. The dispute was escalated on May 19th. The item was delivered on May 24th, dropped off at the post office on May 10th. eBay specifies that they will reach a decision within 72 hours. It has been nearly two weeks. What do I do? The item was delivered, and the buyer is not even responding to me.
