mario l asked:i’ve been researching alot and found that the IQ health pro is one of the best but it doesn’t tell you how much particles it picks up as do other brands, and itnot aham certified you need to know before buying one if it emits ozone which is not good, i found one at frys, called rabbit air pro, and it ranks up there with the IQair purifier, and is cheaper , filters and all.

my house is on a main road with heavy traffic. So there is a 1 mm of dust inside the house end of every day. To prevent this some one suggested to put airconditioners for the full house, but this will be expensive. Someone suggested that i can buy air purifiers instead can someone clarify the following?

1. if i buy airpurifier and close all windows, how much time it takes for the purifier to clean the air?
2. how frequently should i open the windows to get the fresh air(oxygen) into the house again?
3. Are there any known risks associated with air purifiers because they release a lot of charged particles/ions?

1. No leakage of gass (such as ozone)

2. Check that the filtration process is up to HEPA industrial standards.

3. Is the purifier well built or will it fall apart in a few weeks?

4. How easy will it be to fix yourself? Can you replace parts and filters easily?

5. Do the filters last long? How much do they cost?

6. How much noise does it make?

7. Is the company who makes the unit trustworthy? Is the returns policy kept to?

8. Do we think that the purifier is good value for money?

9. Are customers happy or have they made complaints?

10. How attractive will the purifier be in your home or office?

If we follow these points we end up with an air purifier review that is informative and fair.

Try to watch for any review that mentions the following:

1. Highly positive or any those don’t mention any downsides.

2. Very short reviews… often they will not have tested the machine enough

3. Any site or magazine that only sells on purifier as they will be biased.

Reviews that contain any of the above three points will often be untrustworthy and are not worth reading.

We recommend that as well as reading reviews on such sites as air-purifier-reviewsite.com, you should also check out the customer reviews on amazon.com and epinions.com. You will find that very large retailers allow their customers to write reviews for specific products. Many of the popular air purifiers will already have a star rating and lots of reviews on both amazon.com and epinions.com.
