    @sonne5
I’m sure you could use any type of ball you want as long as it’s big enough to get up to the weight you want. Good video if you need a lot of medicine balls, might I add.

    shit in the ball

thanks man! i was doing some spring cleaning the last few days and came across an old withered, deflated, and otherwise useless basketball of mine in an outdoor patio closet. already had a bunch of duct tape, etc. so all the med-ball conversion cost me was about $4 at home depot for 50# of pea gravel!

  6. sonne5 Says:

Can you use a different ball? Basketballs aren’t much cheaper than a medicine ball, itself.

    about 30 lbs.

  12. J0hnFreeman Says:

how much did those medicine balls weigh total?

  13. silverback7734 Says:

I do the same thing essentially with juggling balls. I only make two slits and the lift up the triangular section and insert the funnel. This allows me to close it up and seal it in such a way that my cut is nearly invisible. I then use epoxy to seal the slit.

coool im gona try this =D

I just rememberd I happen to have a basket ball!
now all I need is pea gravel and tape!!! ( and some thing I can fold to put the pea gravel in)
    thanks for the vid!!! :D

  16. nchiplin Says:

Good job buddy, I did this with just two cuts, like half a square about 1.5 inches long each and just stuck a piece of cardboard like you did and filled it. Basically the exact same but I didn’t trust the big hole !

  17. Simplymatt937 Says:

I Just Made Mine It Weighs 27.4 Pounds I Used All Purpose Sand For Mine Since I Couldnt Find Any Pea Gravel At The Time And That Gorilla Tape Holds Up Perfect

  18. nikolatesla08 Says:

    GRIP TAPE!!

  19. koz1769 Says:

sometimes it does, just use chalk and keep a towel handy. When its sweaty it helps with your grip, what doesnt kill you only makes you stronger.

  20. 2trunks Says:

it looks like it gets slippery when sweaty ?

  21. adriang0 Says:

Thanks for the vid. I put two 5 pound weights in mine and filled it with dirt. I used like 3 rolls of cheap duct take and its perfect. Thanks.

  22. koz1769 Says:

duct tape should work, just use a lot of it, even if it does not, you will only lose about $4 haha

  23. manvir187 Says:

Hey thanx for the reply!, i will make a smaller flap. One more thing, can i use Duct tape instead of Gorilla tape? Cuz im from the UK and i have never seen Gorilla tape before. Do you think Duct Tape will hold up?….Im really basic at this kinda stuff. im basically a noob lol

  24. koz1769 Says:

Just you tube medicine ball exercises thanks, I’ll post some of the exercises I do with it later on.

  25. koz1769 Says:

Sand can leak out easier and Pea Gravel is a little heavier.
