Choosing to get a theater system is great but most of us have no idea of what to look for and what is good out there right now. In doing some research I hear the best one out there currently is the 7.1 home theater system. So in hearing this and having no idea what the heck they were talking about I decided to look into it a little further.

I don’t just want to go out and spend four grand on a crappy piece of equipment. That is a lot of dentist appointments for my kids. But I really don’t want to be an expert at theater systems. I just don’t want to get screwed over by someone who takes advantage of my ignorance.

So with that said you will need to know why a 7.1 system is your best choice to get for your home. The 7.1 is the quality of the speaker system basically and you will hear the term 7.1 speakers. So when you hear the term 7.1 Home Theater system they are using the term for the quality of the speakers included in the system.

What I also found out is the power of the speaker is important for especially THX sound. The power of the speaker is so you can have movie sound quality and not blow out the speaker. This makes sense to me because the space is so much smaller than a giant movie theater.

So with this limited knowledge I can kind of understand why the person is explaining to me why the 7.1 speakers are better than the 5.1 speakers. But I still don’t feel confident to know what I am doing.

What I do know is that I don’t have enough knowledge to do anything without an expert. I feel like I can get a quality system and write the check okay but I also realize with strong conviction that I need an expert in my corner to help me get my system to what I want. I need a consultant that can supervise the installation and make sure that everything is set up properly to code and the sound doesn’t flood into any of the other rooms.

A consultant may even be able to get you a good deal on a 7.1 home theater system. They may have contacts that sell to them wholesale. If you are not savvy with this type of system and want a really good system you may consider hiring a consultant to help you get the home theater of your dreams.
